Sorry about the delay but as you can see i have been very tired.
I'm still on a little bit of a downside at the moment. The doctors are trying to get their heads around the desaturations that i am having.

However they think that i am anemic now and this could be the reason. What it means is that the red blood cells i am producing are either breaking down or are not producing enough for my needs.

Now i don't want anyone to get too worried about this. It is quite normal in new babies, and particularly so in prem ones. The solution may be that i have to have a transfusion of blood. I talked about this a few weeks ago if you remember, but my blood levels rose again.

However blood tests have shown that they have dropped again. The doctors do not want to rush into anything though. If you have a transfusion, it fools the bone marrow into thinking that there is enough being produced, and so they want to see if i can resolve again by myself.

This means more blood test therefore. The doctors will make a decision on it tomorrow morning. Transfusions are quite normal in prem babies. A couple of my friends on the ward have already had a couple so don't worry about it. I will keep you all updated on it. In the meantime i am just a little tired. So i am going to leave it now for the day and i will hopefully have more to report tomorrow.
