How big do i look?

This is the latest photo of me (its grandma i'm looking at adoringly not dad)

Now, how big do i look to you all now? Yesterday was weigh day and i am 20 weeks+ now.

When i was born if you remember i was 2lbs 3oz.
Well now i am a whopping 10ibs 4oz. I have put over two pounds on i April and its not even over yet.

All babies are measured and this is recorded on chart. This is just a comparison with birth weights and growth charts and we are plotted on a percentile. When i came out of hospital i was on a pretty low level.

Well now i am up to the normal average for a 7 week old baby (this is what i should have been).
Also i have been measured in length and i am up to the perfect size there too.

All this seems a long way from back in November when i was born. Now dad has problems holding me up to feed. Most of the time i don't need his help either. I am holding my own head up now and it won't be long until i can roll over.

Anyway until next time
lots of love
Zoe

All bound for morning town...

many miles away.

Who's a clever little thing then.

We actually its me!! And the reason??

Well for the past two weeks i have been sleeping in my own room. Mum and dad started slowly at first a put me in about 11 at night in my carry cot.

Any way that went really well so they quickly moved me into the cot. The first night i woke at three and then would not go back to sleep for a couple of hours until dad fed me.

However the next night he put his foot down and refused to give me any milk in the middle of the night. Any way it worked.

Two weeks later and i am now sleeping through the night.
I usually have a feed about 9 o'clock and then i will go to bed. And last night i went to sleep at 6.30 at grandma's, dad woke me at 10 for some food and then sent me to bed.

Now this is really good as on Monday mum goes back to work. She is feeling a bit emotional about it but the good thing is that with me sleeping, she has no worries about me in the night.

Ans she certainly is glowing don't you think.

What this does mean of course is that i am going to be left at home in the tendercare of dad!!!!

Fortunately i have an escape route as Auntie Ellen does not live far away and she says i can come and stop whenever i want to.

Lots of love,
Zoe

Dambusting

Hi everyone.

Well Easter has been and gone and we had some visitors for the holiday.
Natasha, Kirsty and Lindsay came to stay and so on Saturday we went out for the day.

In the woods we found a little hobbit (not the dog!)

And here is Kirstly doing her very best 'am i bothered'. This is probably because Dad took the mick all the day about a her imaginary chicken friend!

And here is Natasha, desperately trying to avoid having her photo taken.

And this is me having my first ever meal alfresco. Mum wanted to do it just to prove i could.

Ladybower/Derwent dam certainly is very impressive. It was the site of where the RAF practiced with their experimantal bouncing bombs prior to attacks on Geremany in WWII (insert music in the background from The Dambusters film - Dad would have but not able).

But guess what... Uncle Ian can...!

However not everyone was that impressed. Sometimes happiness is a big stick!!

And on the way home,
we found something tasty for dinner!!!!

Happy Easter
Love from Zoe

Not like Hob Nobs!!!

They are the Marines of the biscuit world!!!

Ah well, i guess i will have to wait a while for something as interesting as a hob nob. Or a rich tea!!

However here is something a bit more interesting than milk.

SOLIDS!!!

Here i am having my first ever solid feed.

And it went amazingly well.
Managed not to spew up on anyone.

So iam having a little bit at night before i go to bed. And if i do ok then i am going to have some for breakfast too.

Howo Uncle Ian

Hi Everyone.
Well its nearly Easter which meant that Uncle Ian came up form Southampton to see me.

Technically he came to spend some time with Grandad and to see mum and dad too, but we all know who he really came to see.

Anyway, i bought Uncel Ian a lovely Thorntons Easter egg with his name on it.
And Uncle Ian bought me............

Squat!!!!
Really though it was really nice to see him again as the last time he saw me i was very little.
And now i am a whopping 8lbs 11oz. And the way that i have been going recently i should be over the 9lb mark on Thursday.

So all is going really well. I'm just off now to make a note of this in my diary (Easter 2006 - no egg from Uncle Ian. File alongside no christmas card from mum and dad)

Bye

P.s. Howo is the daft noise that Uncle Ian kept on shouting at me last night whilst he was baby sitting with grandad, as in 'Howo little Zoe'
